Cervical Cancer. According to
data histopathological Director of Medical Services Ministry of Health, as many
as 26,169 women develop cervical cancer Indonesia are mostly suffered by women
aged 45-54 years.
Chairman of
the Indonesian Anti Cervical Cancer (GAKSI) Asep Rachmatullah the National
Seminar themed Fight Cervical Cancer Cervical Cancer Killer Women in Pekanbaru,
last week, said that of the over 26 thousand women, as many as 32.29 percent,
or 8451 women aged 45-54 years.
In an event
organized to commemorate Mother's Day, Asep explained that cervical cancer was
also attacked by women aged 35-44 years, which amounts to 8216 or about 31.40
percent.
According to
Asep, among women aged 55-64 years was third highest cervical cancer, which
reached 4310 people or about 16.47 percent.
"Only
then among women aged 25-34 years with a number of around 2945 people and
percentage of approximately 11.25 percent," he said as quoted Asep
Antaranews.com.
He added
that, for the highest stage recorded death rate about one death per hour.
"This
situation must be anticipated with a healthy way of life. Healthy lifestyle is
the appropriate measures to prevent and this is better than cure, "he
concluded.
Cervical
cancer (uterus) or uterine cancer is a malignant tumor found in the endometrium
(inner lining the uterus, where the attachment of the fertilized ovum).
This type of
cancer can affect a woman's reproductive capacity. Therefore it is not
surprising that cancer is one of the most feared types of cancer for women. So,
